Want to learn navigation or have a refresher and polish up your current skills?  This weekend will offer something for everyone, no matter what level you are at with navigation.  Starting off with the basics, this weekend will become more challenging as it progresses.

Day 1 (in Nelson) –  Learning the basics, learning how to view and identify the features on a map, compass use, setting your map to the ground, route planning, magnetic and grid bearings, along with triangulation and micro navigation giving participants the skills to deal with challenging terrain.

Day 2 (out of town) – Setting off from Nelson to a practical day in the hills putting skills into practice learnt on day 1.

Cost for club members $25.  Priority will be given to club members in the first instance for this training.
